Ballston Center Church was founded in the year 1775 by Reverend Eliphalet Ball, namesake of the town of Ballston. Many of the town’s original settlers came together for worship at the church that stood on this property. Through the years many pastors served at Ballston Center, hundreds of baptisms, marriages and funerals occurred. The facility changed over the years. In 1802, the church was erected where it currently stands. In 1994, after a devastating fire, the current facility was constructed. As the years progressed, there were neighborhood prayer meetings, sleigh rides for the young people and Sunday School picnics every summer. In the 1940’s the Daily Vacation Bible School began. Every summer, neighborhood youth enjoy games, Bible lessons, crafts and music. Children have fond memories of their teachers and love of Jesus that they show.
From 1973-1974, the congregation changed its affiliation to that of the Associate Reformed Presbytery and continues this membership. This presbytery has a rich and distinguished heritage. The church traces its roots to Scotland and the Covenanter
and Seceeder movements of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Ballston Center Church Logo
Our Logo “AND THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, COME” is a photograph of the Stain glass window seen as you exit the Sanctuary. The Window was designed and made by a local artist Gary Zack to portray many of the symbols of eternal life and the perfect re-creation which is still to come. The window is round representing eternity Gods love having no beginning and no end. The Verse is from Revelation 22:17. The Crown representing the kinship of the Lord Jesus Christ- His victory over sin and death, His place of honor at the right hand of God the Father wearing the crown of glory. The Radiating Beams of Light we read in John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life”. The River of life and the Tree of Life are imagery from Revelation 22:1, 2. As you leave our worship each week and return to a world of responsibilities, it is hoped that you will be reminded that this world is not your final home, and you will be moved to live and witness in a manner which reflects the fullness of the coming Kingdom!
